Overview

DevToolKit.io is built with privacy as a core principle. All tools run entirely in your browser — your files and data never leave your device. We do not require accounts, we do not set tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal information.

Cookies & Consent

When you first visit DevToolKit.io, you are shown a cookie consent banner. If you accept, we load the following analytics services which may set cookies:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — collects anonymized page view and usage data to help us understand how our tools are used
• Microsoft Clarity — records anonymized session replays and heatmaps to help us improve usability

If you decline cookies, these services are not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can clear your preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.

We also store a theme preference and a cookie-consent choice in your browser's localStorage. These stay on your device and are never transmitted to any server.

File Processing

All file processing on DevToolKit.io happens entirely in your browser using client-side technologies such as JavaScript, WebAssembly, and the Canvas API. When you use any of our tools:

• Your files are never uploaded to any server
• All conversions, compressions, and transformations happen locally on your device
• No file data is transmitted over the network
• Processed files are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on every page. This is a cookieless, privacy-first analytics solution that does not collect personally identifiable information and does not track individual users across sessions or websites. It is loaded regardless of your cookie consent choice.

With your consent (see Cookies & Consent above), we additionally use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity for detailed usage analytics and usability insights. Both services are governed by their respective privacy policies (Google, Microsoft).

Feedback Widget

Each tool page includes an optional feedback widget. If you choose to submit feedback, the following information is collected:

• The tool page you submitted feedback from (URL slug)
• Your rating (thumbs up/down or star rating)
• Your optional text comment
• Your browser's user agent string (for debugging purposes)

No personally identifiable information (PII) such as name, email address, or IP address is stored with feedback submissions. Feedback data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and is used solely to improve our tools.

Third-Party Services

DevToolKit.io is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect limited technical data (such as IP address) as part of its standard CDN and DDoS protection services. This data is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We use Sentry for error monitoring to improve site reliability. Sentry collects error reports (stack traces, browser info) but not personally identifiable information. We do not embed social media widgets or advertising networks at this time.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain or delete. Feedback submissions are retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes. Cloudflare Web Analytics data is retained according to Cloudflare's data retention policies.

Children's Privacy

DevToolKit.io does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not require accounts, collect personal data, or set cookies, there is no mechanism through which children's data could be collected.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
